Is it possible to top last year’s incredible, record-setting Yough Defense Party? We don’t know, but we’re gonna try!
Save the date for the 2024 shindig! There will definitely be:
- Music
- Dancing
- An incredible silent auction
- Local beer specials
- New merch for sale
- A rip-roaring good time!
It’s MWA’s 30th year as an organization, so goal is to raise $30,000 at the Yough Defense Party this year! We need your help!
Each sponsorship is one more drop in the river to a healthier Youghiogheny River watershed!
Hemlock Sponsor – $1,000: A physical sign with your name/logo will be the prominently displayed. You will also receive the benefits of the Hellbender, Trout, and Mayfly sponsorship levels.
Hellbender Sponsor – $500: You will receive two “Merch Tickets” at the event for limited edition 2023 Yough Defense Party t-shirts! You will also receive the benefits of the Trout and Mayfly sponsorship levels.
Trout Sponsor – $250:You will receive a MWA logo ballcap! You will also receive the benefits of the Mayfly sponsorship level.
Mayfly Sponsor – $100: Your sponsorship will be broadcast on our social media, website, email blasts, and throughout the event, denoting your level of sponsorship and dedication to defending the Yough.

We’re seeking donations for our silent auction to help us meet our fundraising goal!
The silent auction typically consists of handmade goods from local artists, showcasing the talents of Mountain Watershed supporters. We seek to celebrate the many unique experiences that lie within the watershed by stocking the auction with unique gifts and experiences.
Help us showcase the essence of the Laurel Highlands and surrounding area by contributing to our fundraising auction with one of kind jewelry, specialized workshops, a multi-day adventure package with overnight stays, hands-on activities, photoshoots, custom made Yough Watershed decor, a weekend at a vacation rental or any other in-kind and unique offering you can imagine.
