West Newton River Cleanup

Meet us at the West Newton Boat Ramp between 9am – 9:30 am. We will shuttle to Cedar Creek, then paddle and clean back downstream to West Newton, likely finishing around 2:30 – 3:00 pm.

Canoes, rafts, paddles, and life vests are available to borrow for the event. If you’d rather use a raft, please email Eric@mtwatershed.com to reserve one – we have a limited number available!

Schedule for the Day:

9:00 am – Meet at West Newton

9:30 am – Shuttle to Cedar Creek, sign waivers, have snacks

10:15 am – Gear up!

10:30 am – Launch from Cedar Creek, pick up trash!

2:00 pm – Float under the West Newton Bridge

2:30 pm – Take out at the Municipal Access near Giant Eagle in West Newton

3:30 pm – Finish up and Head to Bloom Brew

**If you have a truck with hauling capacity to pull a trailer and wouldn’t mind helping us with shuttle and/or transporting rafts from the MWA office to Cedar Creek, please reach out to eric@mtwatershed.com**

This is a family friendly event. However, kids under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult!

After the cleanup, join us at Bloom Brew for a drink after a hard day of work!
