The Yough Defense Party is MWA’s biggest fundraiser of the year, and this year it’s on November 20 at Falls City Pub in Ohiopyle! We’ll have live music, free snacks, door prizes, gear raffle, a silent auction, and merch deals all night.
Proceeds from the party benefit the Yough Defense Fund, which helps MWA accomplish the following goals (and more):
- Organize volunteer river cleanups,
- Monitor the watershed for industrial pollution
- Protect communities from hazardous waste facilities
- Monitor coal mining operations
- And conduct critical outreach on mine expansions throughout the watershed
