Yough River Float Trip

Join us on a 4-hour Yough River Float Trip with Hazelbakers River Trips! Arrive at 10:00 am, park at Hazelbaker’s in Layton (You will need to sign wavers/liability forms) Shuttle to Dawson and float back down to Layton (arrive ~4pm) Things to note: Perfect for beginners, class 1 moving flatwater – view the river map People may bring a small cooler with beverages/snacks to take on the river Lunch Menu: Veggie Sandwich or Pulled Pork BBQ sandwiches with coleslaw and corn on the cob 50/50 ticket raffle the day of the event MWA merchandise available for sale You can pick a kayak or canoe or you can bring your own. Unlimited number of canoes – 1 or 2 people in a canoe Limited number of kayaks (50) About 8 double kayaks are available — If you would like to reserve a boat, please email hannah@mtwatershed.com with your preference upon completing your online registration. You can print, complete, and bring this liability waiver with you to save time the day of the event (or you can fill this out the morning of the float trip. Please arrive at 10:00 to be prepared for our 11:00 shuttle). Purchase Tickets Here Fee per person $35 to $65 – includes life jacket, boat, paddle, shuttle, tip for the dock boys/drivers and food. ** Ticket price is on a sliding scale. Because this is a fundraiser for the Steyer Bridge project on the Indian Creek Valley Trail, all proceeds will go toward completing this trail project. If you are able to pay more than the minimum, your donation will help cover someone who isn’t able to pay as much. ** Make your float trip reservation through the MWA website (NOT Hazelbakers) – Register by July 6th.
