** New location ** Indian Creek Valley Community Center
Join Mountain Watershed Association for the annual Indian Creek Watershed Festival! The event is held at a creekside park, Indian Creek Valley Community Center, in rural Normalville, PA. We hope that this event inspires our youth to take an active role in protecting our local waters, by introducing them to fishing, hands-on environmental education activities, and fun outdoor games!
This year’s event will be another great day for our local youth, featuring:
- A free kids’ fishing day along Indian Creek
- The famous Indian Creek Duck Race!
- Eco-arts and craft activities
- Free lunch for kids (hot dog, chips, cookie, and a drink!)
- Additional food available for purchase (benefitting Operation Christmas Child – cash only)
- Yard games for all ages
- Interactive environmental learning
All activities will be held at the pavilions along Indian Creek, in a lovely forested setting with swings and jungle gyms. All kids get a free entry to the duck race!
Schedule of events:
- 10 am-2 pm: Join us for nature themed crafts, activities and fishing
- 11 am – 1 pm: Visit the Pittsburgh Zoo’s ZooMobile
- 1 pm: Chuck-a-Duck competition
- 1:30 pm: Indian Creek Duck Race

Arts, crafts, and education activities will be located in the shade under the pavilions, where kids and families can build wooden bird houses to take home, get dirty with wildflower seeds, create colorful fish prints, learn about aquatic insects in an interactive bug tank, meet live animals from the Pittsburgh Zoo, learn about water systems in the interactive H2O On the Go traveling education trailer, and more!
