On Wednesday, October 9 at 6:30pm the EPA will host a virtual listening session to hear comments and concerns from the community regarding the MAX Environmental Yukon facility that is now operating under TWO EPA Consent Orders (April 2024 ; September 2024).
Please plan to join this listening session either in person at the Yukon Fire Hall, 124 Hwy Street, Yukon, PA or online via the EPA zoom link provided here.
If attending in person, a prep session will begin at 5:30pm to help residents understand how they can participate. Dinner and refreshments will be provided.
We hope many of you will attend to voice your concerns and request more extensive monitoring, transparency, and the development of a closure plan for the site. Even if you don’t plan to provide comments, we urge you to attend to hear from people who live near the facility and have been impacted by it.
