On April 1, 2014, MWA is holding a community meeting in Delmont, PA regarding Marcellus activities in the area. The meeting will be from 6:45 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. and will take place at the Delmont Volunteer Fire Department.
MWA is holding this meeting in response to citizen requests for additional information about recent gas leasing and seismic testing activity in the community. Kathryn Hilton, Community Organizer and Nick Kennedy, Community Advocate will be presenting on several topics, including lease terms, seismic testing rights, environmental concerns, monitoring resources, and many others. The meeting will conclude with an in-depth question and answer session.
All are welcome to attend, this event is not limited to residents in the Delmont area, but RSVP is requested. We encourage those who have received letters or other documents to bring them in if they have questions and feel comfortable doing so. As part of its Marcellus Citizen Stewardship Project, MWA is committed to providing the information and tools necessary to empower our communities on all issues surrounding shale drilling.
