DESCRIPTION:REGISTRATION IS CLOSED\, thanks to everyone who signed up!  \n\n\n\nJoin us on a 4-hour Yough River Float Trip to raise funds for the Indian Creek Valley Trail!  \n\n\n\nLocation: Hazelbaker’s River Trips in Layton on Sunday\, July 28! \n\n\n\nPer person – $50 – includes life jacket\, your choice of boat (canoe or kayak)\, paddle\, shuttle\, tip for Hazelbakers’ staff\, and a bagged lunch. All proceeds will go toward ICV trail maintenance and projects! If you choose to donate more\, it will qualify as a tax deduction!  \n\n\n\nKids age 7 and under – $18 \n\n\n\n*All people under 18 must be accompanied by an adult* \n\n\n\nThe Yough River Float Trip is on a beautiful section of the river. Hazelbaker’s will drive us upstream to the put-in at the historic town of Dawson\, PA. From there\, we’ll paddle and float through the spectacular semi-gorge\, a road-free section of the river before it flows down stream to Pittsburgh.We’ll float approximately 4 hours and 8 miles past wildlife-filled islands and ridges fluttering with birds\, including bald eagles! We’ll float over schools of small-mouth bass\, crappie\, walleye\, perch\, bluegill\, and the occasional fresh water drum fish. Stop anywhere you’d like to eat lunch and relax for a while. There will be a few small ripples and the occasional splashy wave\, so this Class 1 moving flat water is perfect for beginners.Your trip ends just before the Layton Bridge\, where you’ll pull up on shore. Dry off and grab an ice cream sandwich (provided by our wonderful board members)! \n\n\n\nThings to note: \n\n\n\n\nArrive at 9:00 am\, and park at Hazelbaker’s in Layton\n\n\n\nWe will shuttle to Dawson\, and float to Layton (about 4 hours)\n\n\n\nBeginner-friendly\, class 1 moving flatwater\n\n\n\nLunch is included – your choice of turkey\, Italian\, or veggie wrap (all with chips and pasta salad)\n\n\n\nWe recommend bringing a small cooler to hold your river lunch\n\n\n\nNo alcohol is permitted on shuttle vehicle or rental boats\n\n\n\nPrint\, complete\, and bring this liability waiver\n\n\n\n\nBoat options: \n\n\n\n\nCanoe (1 or 2 people)\n\n\n\nKayak (1 person)\n\n\n\nBring your own

DESCRIPTION:Fayette Gives is a community-wide “day of giving” hosted by the Community Foundation of Fayette County. The goal of the event is to build a stronger Fayette County by engaging the community in philanthropy and supporting local charities! \n\n\n\nWe’d love for you to make a contribution to your favorite charity (including MWA)! All donations received at CFFC by 8:00 pm on Fayette Gives day will be enhanced by a bonus pool. \n\n\n\nThe main focus of Fayette Gives is the 12-hour fundraising marathon on November 9 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. at www.fayettegives.org with online donations via credit card. However\, CFFC accepts checks and other donation methods to accommodate donors’ preferences. \n\n\n\nDONATION REQUIREMENTSThe minimum donation is $25 per charity. DESCRIPTION:The HeART of the Laurel Highlands: Legal Defense Fundraiser Series  \nGather to defend the place we love\, the Laurel Highlands. Mountain Watershed Association will be taking legal action to protect the heart of the Laurel Highlands and the headwaters of Jacobs Creek Watershed\, Indian Creek Watershed\, and the Loyalhanna Watershed from coal mining impacts. \nAttend one or join all three legal fundraisers that will offer entertainment\, support for community protection\, good company\, and refreshments.\n____ \nDo you enjoy music and creative expression? Do you like to meet new people? Do you care about the environment? \n  \nIMAGINE THIS!!! An evening in a cozy local residence with a few other like-minded guests\, enjoying music or art demonstrations provided by area talent\, a tasty dessert to share\, and the opportunity to support the cost of MWA’s legal efforts to stop the proposed significant expansion of the deep coal mine currently operating in Donegal and Saltlick Townships. \n  \nLOCATION OF EVENTS will be shared with attendees upon registering. Events will be held at various locations in the Donegal and Champion area. \n  \nTICKETS to participate in such a unique experience can be acquired for a minimum $100 contribution per person. Because all efforts to make such an evening possible are being volunteered or donated\, your entire ticket value can be directed to legal activity. Please consider contributing more than $100 while you register or at your event of choice. DESCRIPTION:This year’s Yough Defense Party (YDP) will resemble past years but with more outdoor space for spreading out. We still want our Yough friends to feel comfortable and COVID-safe. \n  \nPURCHASE DOOR TICKETS HERE\n  \nThe 2022 Yough Defense Party will be held at Falls City Pub in Ohiopyle\, PA on Thursday\, November 17. We are opening the event a bit earlier this year\, starting at 2pm. \nLive music\, silent auction with outdoor gear and goods from local artisans\, potluck dinner\, and great company!
