Our August round of E. coli sampling at popular swimming holes around the watershed is complete. We’re happy to say that the vast majority of sites we’re sampling are safe for swimming, so get out there and enjoy the rest of the summer! E. coli levels at a few sites continue to be problematic, particularly those on Sewickley Creek, the Casselman River, and areas in the most downstream parts of the Yough just before its confluence with the Monongahela River. Be sure to check theswimguide.org to learn if the water quality in your favorite swim hole is safe! Enjoy!
